Early this year, Claire found me through Thumbtack looking for an engagement photographer.
She told me about her upcoming Valentine’s Weekend visit to see Dustin, a US Army soldier, stationed here in El Paso at Fort Bliss. I was super excited to work with a fellow Floridian! These two lovebirds met in college at UCF so I immediately knew I was going to like them. Go Knights!
We met up in the beautiful mountains in and around Cloudcroft, NM, one of my favorite locations away from home. Even though back home, in El Paso, we were reaching temperatures of the upper sixties, there was still beautiful snow on the ground in the mountains. Dustin spent a lot of times in these mountains when he lived nearby in Alamogordo, New Mexico, so he knew all the best locations for photography!
Off we went to hike up the mountain trails and capture some tender moments up in the trees and snow. However, I’m surprised the snow didn’t melt immediately. The chemistry between Dustin and Claire was electrifying! Once we were thoroughly frozen we stopped by one of my favorite diner’s Big Daddy’s Diner to warm up with some hot chocolate. It always warms my heart to see two people so in love.
