Fisher Homecoming – Fort Sill, Oklahoma

A Fort Sill Homecoming

On May 18th 2014 I had the pleasure of capturing those precious moments when a family is reunited with their soldier. The 761st EOD returned from a nine month long deployment overseas. Every last man came home safely to awaiting and open arms. I tried my best, but despite my efforts I was not successful in keeping my eyes dry in review of this session.

The Fisher family, like the other families in attendance were anxious for their loved one. However being the wife of First Sergeant Fisher, she had other responsibilities to keep her busy during the wait. The men sent home letters to be handed out prior to their arrival and each was hand delivered by Shannon and her daughter along with a single Red Rose.

The minute they walked in those doors it must have felt like the longest wait of their life. However, finally the men were released to their families and made whole again. I am positive you will see the relief and joy they all felt.
